***PLEASE DO
NOT MISCONSTRUE THIS AS A LIST OF THE ONLY MACHINES TO BUY. YOU WOULD BE
AMAZED HOW MANY FOLKS HAVE TURNED DOWN GREAT GAMES FROM MYSELF AND OTHER
DEALERS BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT ON THIS LIST. TRUTH BE KNOWN, THERE ARE VERY
FEW DUDS OUT THERE. WHAT MAKES A GREAT GAME IS HOW CLEAN IT IS, HOW WELL
IT HAS BEEN RESTORED AND HOW COMPETITIVELY PRICED IT IS..***
The ultimate electro-mechanical game. Spent years learning how to play pinball as a kid in front of this one. Great rules, wonderful shots, beautiful artwork and pulse pounding play. Creativity in design will always out perform bells and whistles!
Bar none, the prettiest Pinball ever made. Some debate the play value of this game but I don't. Who didn't enjoy seeing grade B movies at the drive in when they were kids. You can smell the popcorn and humidity just standing in front of this one. The best sounds on a game ever and wonderful rules. Let's go kiss that girl!
The last of the Great Gottlieb EM's. Times were about to change for the Chicago Company. This game is about as good as it got for Gtb. Wonderful theme and shots. Remember when end of ball bonus really mattered. It did on this one. Let's play some poker!
Need we say more! The ultimate game for playability and collectability. Unfortunately, early solid state games were pretty limited but this is one of the best for the format. Whether you are a fan of the band or not, it is truly a great player. Light those lines and watch the bonus go wild!
Probably the best game of the old late 80's Williams format. Much is said about Funhouse but Rudy scares my kids to death! I personally feel that this is the best of the three Pinbot Games. Wonderful art and sounds. The heartbeat "she's alive" mode is the most dramatic and enjoyable moment ever made in Pinball. Good rules, great ramp shots and one tough game to beat.
High Speed was a sign of things to come. Yes, Pinbot is another goody but we will go with this one. Comet started it and High Speed finished it. Pinball had finally made a comeback in the nations arcades. Tough multiball with Jackpots that actually matter. How many more times did we see the upper right flipper into a ramp shot. High Speed started it.
OK, we can debate this one. It was one of my favorite wedge heads. Insert one of a handful from Volley to Centigrade 37 in here. Single players were great in those days.
Let's take the three most unreliable pinballs ever made by Chicago and insert here. Star Trek Next Generation, Indiana Jones or Twilight Zone. All fantastic games with the most in depth rules ever made. Unfortunately, keeping them running can be a challenge. Twilight Zone almost did not make it here because it is much more reliable than the other two. Wide body games with great theme and artwork. If only they hadn't had to go with the artificial music!
Can't say enough about this one. The theme really appeals to myself and anyone else that has a game room and lives in the past. Having said that, this game has the best ramp shots ever. It is the best example of the trend of consecutive, timed ramp shots that increase in value each time they are hit. If I could only get that extra ball. PS... Game gets my award for the most politically incorrect game.
Wonderful Machine from the late 80's. One of the more humorous ever made. Great sounds and shots. Ho, Ho, Ho, let's fill the taxi and ride the jackpot highway!!
